Presentation Day.

After a good season the following awards were presented by up and coming Sunderland star Michael Kay. (He's a mag, by the way.)

Top Scorer: Stonezy and Jordan in a thrilling tie.

Most man of the matches: Stonezy.

Players Player: Stephen Lindsley

Managers Player: Daniel McElhone

Most improved: Liam Marshall

Mr Kay commented afterwards that the team looked great but was confused as to how your website author had managed to be presented with a bottle of something for his efforts. I informed him that he wasn't the only one. But thanks .

Gazebo

It has been brought to our attention that other teams have a gazebo to stand under at games. As we witnessed at the Aykley Heads tournament.

We've decided that we had better have one to stop us being impoverished and also to remove any doubt that people need to talk to us to find out that we are idiots.

If parents could turn up half an hour early to help put it up we'll supply a couple of tent pegs and an allen key.

If anyone wants to supply heating may we recommend

Which can be bought on ebay for a very reasonable price. We'll knock off the p&p if you want to pick it up.

(Did I mention we do a wall mounted one as well.)

Anyone turning up early enough will be provided with the food of champions.

That's right it's a Stanley dummy, a Greggs Sausage Roll

Here's a picture of the lads at a training session.

And here is a picture of the share price. Now some of us who have been enlightened enough to buy shares in Greggs need you to buy more pastry. It's not a difficult request. It's not like we're asking you to be a customer of our favourite share.

Dignity Funerals

Although if you do need their services we hope you will do the decent thing and improve our dividend

Competition

As the new season looms it has been suggested to your favourite website that we should have a new competition.

So.

Chrissie and Macca are winning so far.

The rules go like this:

1. The player with the best picture with someone famous will win.

2 .If you can get them to do something stupid while in the picture that is even better.

3.They don't need to know they are getting their picture taken.

4. If it's a video. even better.

5. If they are footballers who we don't recognise (that means Sunderl*nd players don't count Mr Lindsley) then it depends what mood we are in.

6. If you really think that we will be open to bribery for such a small prize then I have to say that it's time you had a look at yourselves and your personal morals.

(Of course we're open to any goodies you are willing to offer.)

7. Any pictures that look like they have been photoshopped will be given extra marks. (For parents. If it looks like Ali is punching your sons lights out in the rumble in the jungle you have a chance of winning).

8. If anyone feels they need to bribe the judges with gifts such as holidays, beer or even just some bovril, then you will definitely go up the rankings.

The prize at the end of the season will be a nice shiny trophy. Or if the winner would prefer they can have one whole pint of lager in The Cricketers at Blackhill at the end of season party.

( I know we've never had an end of season party before but I'm quite prepared to have it by myself)

Obafemi Martins having his photo taken with Macca at Newcastle Airport. ( He was an absolute gentleman by the way, more than happy to have his photo taken even though it was 5.00am. I thought Oba behaved himself as well.)

Annual Presentation

The annual presentation was hosted today at Blackfyne School with ex-Sunderland Midfield man Kevin Ball the celebrity guest.

Oliver Clark won the Player's player of the year with Graham Stones picking up top scorer after a few goals in the last couple matches of the season which put him just ahead of Jordan.

Connor Suddes received the award for the most man of the matches given by the opposition and the two Daniel's each won an award, with Daniel Monaghan winning the most improved player this season and Daniel McElhone being given the Manager's player of the year. Everyone got a trophy for their participation this season so a big well done to all of the lad's.

A special award was presented to managing duo, Ian Stones and Phil Clark or 'Big Phil' as Ian calls him, to thank them both for managing our team this year and making it so enjoyable for all of us and for that we must thank the two of you

I have really enjoyed this season and hope I'm speaking for everyone when I say that and hopefully we'll have just as good a season next year.

 Poll winner

One parent has started to take the game so seriously that he has had his sons head replaced by a football. I'll give you a couple of days to figure out who before I post pictorial evidence. Then you won't be doubting my credentials quite so much.

Your title
Who has had their sons head replaced by a football?
Mr Carlin. Shifty
Mr Donellan. Up front
Mr Stones. Surely not
Mr Mason. Suspicious
